Two Cents of Information for Free

I have a long history with S1914 and think the overall concept of extended-turn, build/march/fight is excellent, but man does this thing need an major update.

1) Windows on top of windows blocking views, oversized bars and buttons...ditto.
2) Interface layout completely piecemeal making locating simple tasks difficult.
3) Basic rules for the game, flawed at the onset, never updated.

Sure, the current players would disagree, but that is because the only players that would start playing and keep playing are narrowed down to those that see no problem with the above.

I propose that a large number of new players are denied the game due to the above. I would bet that a steady stream of new players finds the game, joins the game, and is out of the game after one turn...these problems (and other problems) are THAT self-evident.

Sure, I know that this game is likely run by one guy and a friend or two that keeps the server running, but shouldn't at least one outsider be brought in to see what is so obvious to new players? No, not me, nor any current player...an outsider. Anyway, still a great concept, way, way outdated now in implementation ... and drastically needing a whole new interface.

Seria interesante la implementación de una nueva forma de economia basada en prestamos, el juego da la posibilidad de comerciar pero muchas veces te falta dinero o te sobra y necesitas hacer algo al respecto, si te sobra y no sabes donde invertirlo, por ejemplo no quieres poner a fabricar armamento aún o tienes dinero y si lo gastas rápidamente te quedas sin posibilidades de hacer otra cosa estaría bien una nueva función, la de los prestamos.

Explico mi idea:
Se me ocurrion una forma muy buena de implementarlo, los jugadores al igual que en el mercado ponen sus ofertas de venta o compra de dinero de la siguiente forma: un jugador podria colocar una oferta de por ejemplo 100.000$ y marcaria el interes por (diario) seria lo que aumentaria la deuda no pagada al día por ejemplo 5% y el plazo de devolución otro jugador que busque financiacion y le gustara las condiciones podria solicitar el capital y en al solicitarlo se le mandaria la petición al jugador que la mando, el que dio el capital podria aceptarlo o no depende si quisiera. Pasaria lo mismo al reves de que alguien busca el capital cuelga la oferta y el que quisiera dar el dinero mandaria la solicitud y el que busca el dinero la deberia aceptar o rechazar.


FUNCIONAMIENTO

- El dinero al poner la oferta o la solicitud de mandar el capital se quedaria guardado igual que cuando pones un oferta de compra en el mercado.
-Los intereses funcionan añadiendo el interes a la deuda cada dia (deuda todavia no pagada)
-Habra una fecha de devolucion la fecha seria la de devolucion del sistema obligatoria, cuando tienes una deuda puedes siempre pagarla cuando quiera pero una vez pasada la fecha para evitar fraudes al pasar la fecha se le devolvera de tus ingresos un 75% de lo que ganes a la hora hasta pagar la deuda.
-La deuda corre el riesgo de no pagarse si el jugador es conquistado, o si decide no pagar, asi que solo se pagaria el 75% de sus ganacias a la hora pero en caso de que tenga una sola provincia es muy probable que nunca pueda pagarla.
-Si tienes mas de una deuda el 75% que pagas llegaria hasta el 90% y se repartirian entre las dos deudas.
-LAS OFERTAS Y DEMANDA DE CAPITAL NO SON ANONIMAS SE SABRIA A QUIEN SE DEJA EL CAPITAL O A QUIEN SE LE PIDE PARA PODER DECIDIR SI EL PAIS PODRA PAGAR O NO PODRA PAGAR, ASI PODER SABER EL RIESGO DE LA INVERSION.



(oviamente a una potencia de la partida no tendrá problemas en devolverlo una vez que finalice el plazo para devolver)

Esto ayudaria a tener mas vidilla en el tema economico ya que los movimientos de capital son algo de lo mas importante y una forma buena de hacer dinero con un pais con pocos ingresos, o una forma de conseguir dinero para una guerra en poco tiempo.

Arkadaşlar, dikkatimi çeken bir durum var. Büyük dünya haritası ile oynarken Güney Amerika"dan Avustralya"ya saldırmak isteyen birisi gemilerini ve ordularını günlerce doğuya doğru göndermek durumunda kalıyor. Aynı durum Alaska"dan Sibirya"ya saldırmak isteyenler için de geçerli, örnekler daha da çoğaltılabilir. Oysa ki dünya yuvarlak olduğundan Güney Amerika"dan Avustralya"ya saldırmak isteyen birisi batıya doğru giderek çok kısa sürede hedefine ulaşabilir. Bence bu özelliğin büyük dünya haritasına eklenmesi gerekir, bu sayede oyunun gerçekçiliği daha da artmış olur.

Problem with inactive players

I'm surrounded by inactive players which makes diplomacy kinda pointless. I invaded one of them and had my butt handed to me - that doesn't worry me since this is my first game and I'm trying lots of different things to see what works and what doesn't. The problem is, since I'm only near inactive players I can't persuade anyone to help me gang up on a sacrificial lamb.

I can't win at 1:1 and I can't see how to improve the odds.

Anyone have a suggestion?

The cunning misuse of flags

For some reason I always love playing in the New Guinea/Indonesia area. An area which was divided by the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany and the UK in 1914.

After WWII (1949) the Dutch East Indies gained independence as the Republic of Indonesia and it annexed Dutch New Guinea (the western half of that eponymous island) 20 years later.
German New Guinea (northeastern part) was conquered by Australian forces in 1914 and lobbed together with the Australian/British protectorate of Papua (southeastern part) in 1975, as the independent country of Papua New Guinea.

Apparently some s1914 mapmaker didn't get this wee bit of history right, when it comes to the World in Flames map. I can see why the huge colony of the Dutch East Indies were cut into bits on this map, because we want countries to start out with 8 provinces, not 27. However, the flags are a mess. The historically fictitious 'country' of Dutch Indonesia (situated on the southern half of the island of Borneo*) ended up with the flag of Dutch New Guinea aka. Netherlands New Guinea, which on this map is an entirely different country in it's own right. Apart from Dutch New Guinea proper it holds the 3 provinces on the island of Celebes* as well.. However, it flies the modern flag (post-1975) of Papua New Guinea, NOT the flag it should have had. That particular country (PNG) does fly a proper 1914 colonial German flag, although that flag belonged to the northern half of the in-game country PNG only, as the southern half was a British protectorate, not a German one.

Ergo:
-the country of Dutch Indonesia never existed, not even as a colonial unit, so one can use any Dutch colonial flag. One can think of something like this or this.
-the country of Dutch New Guinea should have the flag that erroneously has been allocated to Dutch Indonesia.
-the country of Papua New Guinea did not exist in 1914, which is fine, but flies a flag that belonged to the German part of PNG only. If one wants to replace it with a pan-PNG (pre-independence) flag.. here you are. Or right here, if needs be.

* I have used the colonial geographical names as they were known in 1914. The modern day republic of Indonesia refers to Borneo as Kalimantan and Celebes as Sulawesi

Często dołączamy do sojuszów lub unii, jednak jeśli chcemy coś napisać do wszystkich to trzeba zwracać sie do każdego z osobna. Wiadomość grupowa, lub czat grupowy byłby fajnym rozwiązaniem. Myśle, że nie byłoby problemu z dodaniem tego do gry, a napewno by pomogło.

Was wir machen ist klar was jede andere Allianz auch macht , bloss gehen wir es anders vor und mit Spaß an der Sache Ich bin Überzeugt davon wir werden es haben :eek: und natürlich agieren wir zusammen gegen jeder Art von Feind keiner wird von uns verschont bleiben.

Was uns wichtig ist und unsere Voraussetzung ist zur Aufnahme:
Teamplayer ohne das geht garnix und ein aktiver Player solltest sein.
Aufnahme jeder Art (kein Mindest rank oder Level)
Du solltest PvP mögen und kein Weichei sein
Ideen haben die unsere Allianz weiterbringt
Sich im Chat Nett verhalten ist aber Pflicht schliesslich muss man es nicht übertreiben also d.h. niemanden Beleidigen und runtermachen.
Ansonsten im Spiel halt Gefährlich und Gemein sein :mad: sodaß jeder Feind den wir haben werden schon das weite sucht wenn er uns von weiten anrollen sieht.

Also wenn du Bock hast melde Dich einfach per Post oder Klick gleich los auf den Bewerbe Button . Ich würd mich freuen wenn wir Dich bald in unser neuen Allianz begrüssen dürfen!

[Building Suggestion] Regional Capital/HQ

This is just an idea I was considering as I was playing in the 500 player world map.

In my game, I've grown pretty large and as such, the morale penalty in my outlying provinces due to distance from my capital has gotten pretty substantial. In some places its nearly -30 by this point, and its only going to get worse as I continue expanding.

I thought it would be a good idea if there were the ability to build regional capitals, or headquarters, whatever you want to call it, which would provide some relief from that morale penalty.

Obviously it wouldn't get rid of the penalty entirely, but instead of being -30 due to being 2 days away from the capital, it could be -15 due to being 0.5 days from a regional capital/HQ.

I also think to balance it, there should be a cap, either 5 maximum total, or perhaps 1 for every 50 provinces owned.

And lastly, an idea for the cost of the upgrade would be 1/2 of the current requirements to build a (national) capital.

1 crucero hundido y submarinos al 93%

resultado segunda ronda
1 infanteria muerto 1 submarino hundido

me da miedo lo q pase en la tercer ronda la verdad mucha bronca con este juego los dados hacen de las suyas otra vez.... como puede ser si el resultado de la primera ronda tendria q ser los 2 cruceros hundidos y la infanteria muerta si le supero casi 6 veces mas de fuerza al enemigo...

la tercera ronda sera en 1hs despues actualizo

Crucero ligero al 100% <== enserio?? al 100% como puede ser si ya recibio el embate de 6 submarinos por 2 rondas seguidas......

Sabotage mechanics - how does it work?

I get sabotaged by my enemys spies he hits all my cruicial infrastructure with success.


I put 10 sabotage spies in two of his cites that are staging areas for his attack on me, + 5 in the third.


And all the result I get is fortress damaged by 2, recruit office damaged by 2 + stopped one infantry recruitment? 7 of my sabotage spies are caught _after_ having _completed_ their mission. So does this mean he had to have 7 counter spies there?


I had counter spies in all my cities. So what does this mean? That he put 1+x (10-20) sabotage spies in my cities to be able to completely destroy infrastructure when I was not able to with 10 successful sabotage missions?


That he has 10 counter spies in his staging area? Or is this mechanics too ruled by the magical "X factor"? I hope Supremacy will release the information relating to how sabotage is calculated since it is crucial in assessing how much one should put into it.

NOW, with that out of the way

Skype chats are no longer going to be the mode of communication for the Roleplayers Union. All skype chats from now on that say they are made for the RPU are illegitimate and should not be treated as official RPU chats.

I would like to discuss with the RPU members, the condition of our union, and to achieve an adequate way of administering things more easily. please tell me your thoughts, whatever they are.

The first aim of the RPU is to organize the roleplaying community, so that never again, roleplays can die due to lack of a playerbase.

Ataquei a capital de uma IA com 20 tropas e 1carro blindado, a capital tava com 100 de moral 1 tropa e nenhum forte, 12 hrs depois a capital tava com 96% de moral e eu com 7 tropas, e ai, como procede?

Por que pasan estas cosas con los aviones?

Acabo de mandar a 52 cazas a hacer una patrulla sobre un aeródromo enemigo y he perdido 4 cazas, pero no se cual es la causa, no ha habido combate de ningún tipo...
ademas a veces aunque los aviones enemigos se adentran en el perímetro de patrulla de mis cazas no hay combate y los aviones enemigos pasan como pedro por su casa...

Lo que también me acaba de ocurrir y no es la primera vez.. es que mis bombarderos no hacen ningún daño cuando llegan al objetivo, 44 bombarderos no pueden cargarse ni aunque sea 1 infantería...
