Reasons Of War:
Open war will be very strict and your country will need a good reason for starting a war.
Invading your land
If [Country A] sends soldiers on your land without your permission it is a direct reason for war. Reinforcing Borders If another country has a large army on your borders it is a poor but possible reason for war instead you should use all possible ways of diplomacy to stop the war from occurring.
Spies
Spies are a reason for war however it matters on the extent of spies, Intelligence spies are a poor reason of war and declaring war can cause hostilities with other nations. However if constant Intelligence spies are caught it is a great reason for war.
Economic and Military spies are a different subject however, if you have proof that [Country A] was sending spies at you to destroy your infrastructure it is a reason for war. Stages of Warfare (Must Follow)
(Note the 3 stages of war do not count if you are defending an already invaded nation)
These are the stages of warfare that must occur for a country to invade another country.
Diplomacy
Stage 1 Before a war a nation is required to use every form of diplomacy it can muster before declaring war. The diplomacy stage should take anywhere from 5-10 months before Stage Two occurs.
Example: Russia demands the province of Sevastopol (Crimea) or else war will occur. Instead of starting a war Ukraine agree's to give Russia Sevastopol. Example 2: The United States is demanding Syria to stop the massacre of its civilians and for Syria to stop the use of Chemical Weapons. Syria agree's to stop using its chemical weapons stopping a war with the United States.
Army Build Up
Stage 2 (Note that this is only for wars that will occur on your borders or an allies borders. If a naval invasion occurs the invading country is required to wait the time needed (Read below) before embarking to the country it is set to invade. ) The next stage is getting your armies prepared to invade, this will include deploying the invading armies on the border of the country you plan to invade after which you will have to wait one day (One month) before invading to allow your armies to get ready. Example: Russia prepares to invade Ukraine and deploys 200,000 soldiers to its borders as well as 1,200 tanks and 2,000 armored vehicles.
Invasion
Stage 3 After the first 2 stages are completed your nation is free to invade conquer your enemy.
Types Of War:
Provincial War
Provincial Wars will be the most common type of wars and they will focus around a single province. During a province war the only combat engagements may occur inside of the province it.
How to win a provincial war: Successfully take the province or defend the province for (defender)/within (attacker) 10 days.
Border War: A war between two or more countries, the war can only take place between the borders of the civilizations.
How to win a Border War: Conquer the original bordering provinces in which the player will be forced to surrender (and lose the provinces) or declare a more major war.
Territorial War: A war that includes a certain area of land that two nations will be fighting/protecting. These wars can contain as much as 15-20 provinces.
How to win a Territorial War: Conquer all the territory that was declared in the Territorial War or defend the lands for 5 days.(5 days without any major engagements)
Total War: A war with no limits, both sides will continue to fight until one side is forced to surrender. There is no limit on where the battles can take place.
How to win Manage to conquer 90% of the countries land.
National Waters Any Country may declare its National Waters this means that no countries can cross these waters without its permission or a fee.
